Tim Ellis
Instructor
Though his parents will tell you that he learned to somersault before he could walk, Tim found his passion for circus in college. At Vassar College, Tim was a leader in the Barefoot Monkeys circus arts club, helping to grow the organization from a casual juggling club to a large touring performance troupe. After graduating with a degree in theatrical lighting design, Tim moved to Boston with the circus and fire arts troupe A Different Spin and quickly developed a strong relationship with the Boston circus community as a juggler, acrobat and fire arts performer.
In addition to touring nationally and internationally with A Different Spin, Tim works with the Boston Circus Guild as a performer, writer, vocalist, collaborator and choreographer. Recent theatrical credits include Speakeasy Circus, Midnight at the Midway, and Cirque of the Dead.
As a teacher, Tim is a firm believer that anyone can learn to juggle, so they probably should. He is excited to see people discover their own personal love for circus, and is eager to share his passion with students of all ages and abilities!
