Reba Rosenberg
Instructor
Reba Rosenberg is a former professional ballerina who grew up doing competitive gymnastics and youth circus in addition to her intensive ballet training at schools such as Burklyn Ballet Theatre and the School of the Pennsylvania Ballet. She went on to dance with several companies including the American Repertory Ballet, Festival Ballet of Rhode Island, and the former Boston Dance Company, and was a Guest Artist with choreographers and companies performing in New York City and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland.
Reba also has extensive experience teaching ballet to students of all ages at numerous schools and programs including the Princeton Ballet School, Providence Ballet, and Burklyn Ballet Theatre, where she also served as a Pointe Teacher, Rehearsal Coach, and Program Director.
Reba received a B.A. in Psychology from Brown University and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Harvard University. After retiring from her ballet career she became a Psychology Professor, Researcher, and Lab Director. Missing training and performing after a lifetime in the studio and on stage, Reba was then thrilled to return to her roots by rediscovering partner acrobatics and related disciplines over the past several years. She loves finding creative ways to incorporate her dance training into circus arts, and to share her passion for dance, circus, teaching, and performance with the Esh community. Reba is honored to be joining the fabulous Esh staff and looks forward to working with and learning from the inspiring Esh students!
